January 1: Mary, the Holy Mother of God
My word of the year is Proclaim, so here I am writing about the daily readings of the Roman Catholic Church.
I listen to many commentators for the daily readings and many of them talk about trying to be like Mary in her perfect love. I do try to love my neighbor, but I am so far from “perfect”. Mary, mother of God! She was born without sin, a perfect womb for our Lord and Savior! I pray that I will strive for being a saint because in the end, I will be with my Heavenly Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and Mary, praising God forever and ever!
The gospel says “When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds.” (Luke 2:16-21) I hope to also “proclaim” during 2024 to all of you. God bless.
Happy New Year!
