Today’s 1st reading is the account of David and Goliath. This story always gives me encouragement that if I am faced with an impossible obstacle in life, my Lord will be behind me and will not let me falter. I just need to turn to him. Out of the darkness and into the light! In the gospel, Jesus heals on the sabbath and men plot to kill him. It says “looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart”. There aren’t too many times the New Testament says that Jesus was angry, but also grieving for us. Just like when a loved one can do nothing for the person who struggles with something in his/her life, like addiction. You have to just pray. PRAY!
