January 25, 2024 Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul, Apostle
Today’s readings are all about my word of the year, proclaim. In the first reading, either read Paul’s testimony or the actual accounting of Paul encountering Jesus on the road to Damascus where he is blinded by the light! It says after his conversion, he goes out to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues. The response to the responsorial psalm is “ Go out to all the world and tell the Good News” which is to proclaim. The gospel is Jesus telling the Eleven, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature “
I always wanted a conversion like Paul’s, just hit over the head with what I’m supposed to be doing for the Lord here on earth. I hope I am doing what is pleasing to my Lord.
