January 6: cardinal
Today, I crocheted the Northern Cardinal Keychain, by Suzanne Boulet. I use Paton’s chunky, scraps I had. Love the bright red color and stitch definition. I like that the beak and tail are crocheted on and not separate pieces. Love the simple but beautiful wings. I added the feet, just ch 7, slip in second chain from hook and next two, chain 3, slip into second chain from hook and next two, chain 3, slip into secon chain from hook and next two, slip to end of chain 7 leave long tail, sew up the hole and attach to the bottom of the bird.
