February 14, 2024 Ash Wednesday
Today we place ashes on our foreheads to remind us that to dust we will return. The priest will say either “Remember, you are dust and to dust you will return” or “Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel “ Lent is the time to turn from sin, with prayer, fasting, and alms giving. In the gospel today, Jesus tells us how to do those things. Don’t boast but do these things for God and not so others will see you do them. I pray that my Lenten journey in 2024 is fruitful. Amen!
