February 20, 2024 1st week Lent
Today’s first reading is from Isaiah, and the Lord says, His word shall do His will, achieving the end for which I sent it. Most interpretations are that the Word was made flesh in Jesus Christ. He came to achieve the end for God. In the gospel, Jesus teaches us how to pray with the Our Father prayer. At the end, He places emphasis on forgiveness. I wonder what He was experiencing during those days on Earth. I’m sure there was unrest in the world, similar to today’s unrest. I pray for peace! Amen!
