OT means ordinary time. The first reading lets me down. And if I feel bad, just imagine how the Lord felt! Solomon starts to worship idols and other gods even though he was blessed by the Lord. The Lord says he will punish his descendants. I am so glad I lived after Jesus came. He changed that way of punishment. Still I don’t want to disappoint my Lord. Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner. In the gospel, Jesus heals a woman’s child from a demon because of the woman’s strong faith even being a gentile. She says even the dogs get the scraps that fall under the table. The dogs being the gentiles at the time. Jesus provides to those who believe in Him! Hallelujah!
