February 9: Izzy bear knitted in the car
Today’s knitted toy is a bear that I knitted during a two hour car ride to the coast. The pattern says to start by casting on 32 stitches (it is a free pattern). I will not do that in the future because it is closed at the end, so I will just start it like doing the toe of a sock. The pattern also has you use the color of bear fur for the bottom, but it doesn’t look right with the hands. I will use a color to look like pants in the future. The bear color is Hobby Lobby Yarn ID in the color Himalayan sea salt. Perfect color for the bear. I will try the different shirt patterns in the future. Great pattern for the ears! Used size 2 double pointed needles. Glad to have not dropped them while in the truck (LOL). The pattern is Izzy, from a donation site, https://www.hpicanada.ca/craft-for-hpic/
