March 12: fairy #2
Today’s toy is a crocheted fairy. 🧚♂️ I started at the top of the doll and worked down to the feet. Then the arms were crocheted onto the body by picking up stitches and doing short rows for the shoulders. The top of the head was crocheted in black for the hair. The neck was reinforced with a slip stitch round. The hair is one tassel for each black stitch on head. I used the butterfly pattern for the fairy wings. The dress used a pattern for a crocheted pineapple stitch for a bookmark and then I just added a back to the dress. Yarns used: yarn ID from hobby lobby in Himalayan sea salt, big twist value in black, darn good yarn silk dk for the wings, variegated thread from hobby lobby for the skirt 3 mm and 1.75 mm hooks were used.
The toy is a nice size in the hand.
