Today’s toy is a crocheted whale. Using just the blue out of a mandala cake from Lion brand, and a 3 mm hook, this was a quick project for a nice size. I added the smile and the eyelids were a nice touch. It looks like the designer used chenille yarn, but the mandala yarn was great for this project. Today’s item is a crocheted poinsettia charm for a bag or the car. Design by hookok on YouTube. Using crochet thread and a 1.5 mm hook, this turned out well. I just made a long chain so it could fit on the purse handle or car rear view mirror.

Today’s toy is a pot of crocheted succulents. Design by Lauren Espy. Using many different greens I had on hand and a 3 mm hook, this was a tedious one. I liked making the prickly parts of the large cactus. I thought about adding a flower as well. Not my favorite.
