March 3, 2024 Third Sunday Lent
Today’s first reading is an account of the Ten Commandments. The second reading is Paul talking to the Corinthians. He says “For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” So true! The gospel is of Jesus who tosses the money changers tables that are in the temple area. When I went to Mass today, Fr. James said that Jesus took care to save the doves that were in cages in the temple. They were used for sacrifice for the poor, like when Joseph and Mary presented Jesus in the temple when he was a baby. Good thing sacrifices don’t happen anymore. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins! Amen!
