Happy Easter! Did you know that it is the Easter season until Pentecost, the day the Holy Spirit descends on the apostles, fifty days after Easter Sunday. So keep rejoicing! Our Lord has risen! Amen!
Today’s first reading is Peter telling the Jews that they killed God in the flesh, one who David spoke about. In the gospel, Matthew tells the story of the women going to the open empty tomb and seeing Jesus. It also tells of the lie the Jews told that Jesus’ body was stolen and He did not rise from the dead. That is the story today in the Jewish religion.
