April 19, 2024 Friday of the Third Week of Easter
Today’s first reading is the conversion story of Saul/Paul, the man who would write most of the New Testament through letters to the new Christians. He was struck with blindness after seeing Jesus. When he regained his sight he was baptized and started “proclaiming “ about Jesus. Amen!
In the gospel, Jesus said that if you eat his flesh and drink his blood, you will have eternal life. I am thankful to have priests who can consecrate the bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus and that I can eat the Eucharist every week.
It is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
