April 29, 2024 Memorial of Saint Catherine of Siena, Virgin and Doctor of the Church
Today’s first reading is about how people in Lystra began treating Paul and Barnabas as gods similar to Zeus. They were proclaiming the gospel but the people were sacrificing to them. How confusing was that?
In the gospel, Jesus said “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words;
yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me.” Amen! Keep His word!
It is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
