February 14, 2024 Third Sunday of Easter
Today’s first reading is from Acts and Peter said again that we were the ones that killed the fulfillment of the Old Testament. But he said that God is merciful. He said “Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away” Psalm 4:9 was read today, “As soon as I lie down, I fall peacefully asleep, for you alone, O LORD, bring security to my dwelling.” That is how I sleep. In the second reading, 1John, he said “He is expiation for our sins”. Again, repent of your sins.
In the gospel, Jesus appeared to the apostles and said that they are witnesses of what happened to Him and they should know why and spread the news of what happened. We are also called to share these facts. Jesus died for our sins. It is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
