May 3, 2024 Feast of Saints Philip and James, Apostles
Today’s first reading is different because it is a feast day for the church. Paul states that Jesus died and rose and then was seen by many people including himself.
In the gospel, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The only way to heaven is through Him. He said He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. The reason this gospel is said again today is that Philip asks Him, show us the way to the Father, how to be saved. Silly Philip!
This is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
