May 31, 2024 Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

I just love this feast! What a great way to end the month of May!
In the first reading, there is an option, either reading from Zephaniah or Romans. Zephaniah predicts the coming of the Living God, Jesus. Romans says to do good, not evil.
In the gospel, the story of Mary’s visit to Elizabeth. I love Elizabeth’s reaction to seeing the mother of her Lord. I love Mary’s response in the “Magnificat” my soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my savior…

What a blessing Mary received from the trinity. God gave us His son, the Holy Spirit gave Mary Jesus in her womb, and Jesus was the infant she carried. Amen! Alleluia!

Come Holy Spirit!
