May 6, 2024 Monday of the Sixth Week of Easter
Today’s first reading is the first account of a Christian in Europe and it’s a woman. They say her name is Lydia and she sells purple cloth. She sounds like a strong woman. She converts he household and they are all baptized.
In the gospel, Jesus said “the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God.
They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me.” He is speaking to his disciples who will preach about Him after he dies. Persecution is real! Amen!
This is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
