May 7, 2024 Tuesday of the Sixth Week of Easter
Today’s first reading is of Paul getting arrested for preaching about Jesus. They said that he was beaten with rods and tied to stakes. There was an earthquake and his chains were broken and the cell doors were opened. The guard was going to kill himself because he thought Paul had escaped, but Paul was still in his cell, praising God. He baptized the guard and his family that night.
In the gospel, Jesus said He must leave them, but He will sen an advocate, the Holy Spirit, that will condemn the world. But the Holy Spirit will also teach and fill them with power! Amen!
This is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
