May 9, 2024 Thursday of the Sixth Week of Easter
This is also Ascension Thursday, but my church is observing it on Sunday.
Today’s first reading is of Paul visiting Corinth. The Jews reject his teaching so he dusts off his sandals and goes to the gentiles. He converts many to Christianity.
In the gospel, it is written three times, “A little while and you will no longer see me,
and again a little while later and you will see me.” Jesus is telling of his death and resurrection. He could also be talking about his second coming which hasn’t happened yet. I hope it is soon! Amen!
It is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
