June 25: whale
Today’s toy is a knitted whale. The pattern is by Jean Greenhowe. Using Craft star acrylic yarn and size 0 needles, this is rather small. I like the construction. Maybe next time I will add wire so it can be posed.

Today’s toy is a knitted owl. This design is mine. I made this one a little smaller. Using Big twist cotton and size 2 needles, this pattern is so quick. I really enjoyed the speckled yarn.

Today’s toy is a bluebird of happiness knitted with Bernat blanket yarn and size 5 mm needles. This design is by Sara Elizabeth Kellner. I had to add the accents to the bird, the lines for wings and beak and the legs/feet because it just looked like a blue blob. Not happy with the yarn…
Today’s toy is a knitted bear. I unraveled two squares I had crocheted in the variegated yarn and black. These squares were supposed to look like stained glass, but mine didn’t look that way. I would not have done anything with them, so rip it, rip it, rip it! This yarn is never ending! I…
Today’s toy is another knitted owl from my design. Using Hobbii’s honey bunny candy, it made a much larger toy. I used 4 mm needles. I enjoy making birds. The beak was edged in white so it would be visible.
Today I show my bear. I designed it, mostly just experimenting. I am using that same yarn, charisma 10 ply Aran. I started with two icords and then knitted the body, decreased and then increased again for the head. I added the crocheted arms and ears. I used black yarn to cinch a nose on…
