Today’s first reading is Paul writing to Timothy about fear. Persecution maybe? Paul was in prison at the time. This is where we get the slogan, Faith over Fear! Paul said “For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.”
In the gospel, people who did not believe in resurrection of souls asked Jesus about a scenario where all seven brothers married the same woman, in heaven, which one is her spouse? Jesus replied that marriage is not a thing in heaven. We are all just worshippers of God at that point. Amen!
