June 7, 2024 Solemnity of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

In today’s first reading, God said I will not let the flames consume you.
In the second reading, Paul tells the people to become examples for the way to live a Christian life. Praise Jesus.
In the gospel, the Roman soldier pierces the side of Jesus as his body hangs on the cross and blood and water flowed out. Commentators say that this is the start of the church because that Roman soldier was converted by the heart of Jesus. In the Divine Mercy chap let, we say:
“O Blood and Water, which poured forth from the heart of Jesus, as a font of Mercy for us, I trust in You!” Amen!
