Today’s toy is a crocheted bear. Design by Terry Kimbrough, in the book holiday bears. I used the pattern for the bee bear, but just used one variegated color for the tummy. Using King Cole Christmas chunky, Lion Brand Heartland, and 4 mm hook, this bear was fun to make. The pattern is quite old, so many pieces and sewing. I don’t mind it. It looks like a Christmas ornament body.

Today’s toy is Bonnie, an experiment in different shapes in a toy. I crocheted her with large feet and stubby legs. There are even toes! She has a barrel body, with her head attached. A foam roller was placed in her neck for stability. I played around with the ears and gave her three loops…
Today’s toy is a crocheted armadillo. I was trying to design an armadillo from a picture I saw online. Using red heart and Hobby Lobby’s yarn ID and a 3 mm hook, I am happy with everything but the shell. Some designs just don’t turn out.
Today’s toy is a crocheted bear with a pumpkin body. Design by Little world of whimsy. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, this was a quick make. I changed up the feet and the eyes, but the rest of the bear is made to pattern. Today’s toy is a crocheted candy holder in the shape of an eyeball. Design by Craftingintx. Using Bernat blanket yarn and a 4.5 mm hook, this looks like an eye. Black, then purple, then white. I probably won’t make many of these. I added red on the last round with spike stitches to represent veins.
Today’s toy is a crocheted elephant. The design is from Ana at Little Crochet Farm. Using Bernat blanket yarn and a 5 mm hook, this turned out larger than the pattern. I changed the trunk and I made a braided tail from some acrylic yarn I have.
