In today’s first reading, the start of Jeremiah’s journey, the Bible said before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. So comforting that God knows us and is with us. Amen!
In the gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the sower and the seed. The seed is the word of God and the rich soil is our hearts and minds. Let us soak up the word of God and bear fruit as intended. Amen! I often contemplate at what situation I find myself at different times in my life based on the different options of the seed. Am I the path where the birds eat the seed? Am I on the rocky path where the seed grows and quickly withers from the sun? Am I in the thorns and the seed is getting choked by worldly things? Or am I the rich soil, soaking up the word of God and bearing fruit?
