Today’s first reading is of a prophet who God sends to the people of Israel. He said so that the people know there was a prophet among them.
In the second reading Paul said he is better doing the will of the Father in his suffering. Good comes from the bad in our lives. There is a purpose for everything we endure.
In the gospel, Jesus is in the synagogue of his home town and the people focus on Him as a man, familiar with Him. He said that He could not do any good except heal a few of them because of the lack of faith. We must have faith that He will be there for us always! Amen!
