Today’s first readIng, God tells Ezekiel of Jerusalem’s fate. He compares Jerusalem to a woman. He takes care of her and forms a covenant that He does not forget. Even when the woman sins, He will forgive.
In the gospel, the people ask Jesus about divorce. He says it is adultery to divorce and marry another. When they ask about Moses allowing it, Jesus said it is still a sin. Marriage is forever, til death do you part.
