August 16: bee
Today’s toy is a crocheted bee. Design by @vocininha. Using Premier’s Just chenille and a 4,5 mm hook, this toy is bigger than the design. I like making small patterns with thicker yarn. I’m allergic to bees but this one is adorable.

Today’s toy is a crocheted duck, a design by Spin A Yarn. Using many different yarns: Big Twist in black, Lion Brand mandala sparkle in pink, yarn Id in indigo, and Soft secret in butter. I used 4.5 mm hook and held two strands together to make the toy bigger. These designs are crocheted in…
Today’s toy is a crocheted black cat. Design by Craftingintx. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, I used the measurements of a cat I made with thinner acrylic yarn. That pattern had no front legs, but I added them. I used cotton yarn for the green eyes. Today’s toy is a crocheted duck. Design by Lauren Espy. Using many acrylic yarns and a 3 mm hook, this was fun and challenging to make. Many different colors and I wouldn’t think to put the crosses on the wings. Of course, I had to make the smaller version from Sweet softies. Check out that…
Today’s toy is another Hoppy the bunny I designed and crocheted. I am still working on the pattern for the Huggable Heart, so I haven’t started the Hoppy pattern yet. Video is needed for Hoppy since I had different numbers for where to place the shaping of the face with different yarn. This time, I…
Today’s toy is a crocheted seal. Using Lion Brand baby soft in white and 2.5 mm hook. The pattern is by Little Muggles. I used scrap yarn for the hat, scarf and face. I would have preferred one piece instead of the tail being attached. It looks that way, seamed.
Today’s toy is a crocheted bear. Design by Terry Kimbrough, in the book holiday bears. I used the pattern for the bee bear, but just used one variegated color for the tummy. Using King Cole Christmas chunky, Lion Brand Heartland, and 4 mm hook, this bear was fun to make. The pattern is quite old,…
