August 7: beluga whale

Today’s toy is a crocheted beluga whale. Design by Theresa’s crochet shop. Her pattern for this whale has two parts. The first part is for using plush yarn. The second part uses worsted weight yarn. Two different sizes. Using Red Heart Super Saver and a 2.5 mm hook, this was the same pattern as before. There might have been different shaping for the bump on the head. Today’s toy is a crocheted doll. This pattern is by Sevgili Ilmkler. Using Jubilee Yarn bamboo cotton sport, Sheepjes Cato a, Yarn Art Jeans, and 2 mm hook, the body of the doll was much smaller than the shoes and jumper. Next time I will use the same yarn. The hair took forever!

Today’s toy is a crocheted axolotl. Design by Sweet Softies. Using Lion Brand’s mandala sparkle, knit picks cotlin, and a 2.5 mm hook, this is a great pattern. It is quick and no sew. The only issue is that. Don’t want to make any other colors. Pink it is.

Today’s toy is a crocheted pig. Designed by Lonemer creations. Using Big Twist plush and Yarn Art Jeans and a 4 mm hook, this was my third version of the pattern, first using bulky yarn. I love the brown on the light pink for the facial features.
