In today’s first reading the author said “Two things I ask of you, deny them not to me before I die: Put falsehood and lying far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; provide me only with the food I need” In the psalm, it is repeated that lying is bad, only the truth of the Word will save you.

In the gospel, Jesus sends out the twelve. He said not to carry anything with them. No food, no money, no extra tunic. Rely on the people to provide and proclaim the gospel. They went out, preached the gospel, and healed many by the name of Jesus. Amen!

Come Holy Spirit!
