Today’s first reading is from Ecclesiastes and some had said that Solomon wrote it, but scholars believe not. It opens with “vanity of all vanities” mostly to focus on the meaning of life. But we need to focus on a life with God. With God all things are possible. Amen!

In the gospel, it is very short to say that Herod is looking for this man, Jesus, who so many people are talking about. Who is this man like John the Baptist? My commentary said that Herod is looking for the man out of curiosity, but we should be searching to walk with Jesus. To accept Him , following Him all the way, through the cross, and beyond to a life that never ends. Amen!
