In the first reading, Paul emphasizes that we are just human. Don’t focus on our wisdom, but our humility. God is the wise one.

In the gospel, Jesus performed a miracle by filling two boats with fish after the fishermen didn’t catch one fish during that day and night. Simon Peter was one of the fishermen and he drops everything to follow Jesus. My commentary said it was an immediate conversion to faith. Amen!
