In today’s first reading we continue with Revelation. Chapter four starts all of the symbolism of heaven and what awesome power is in heaven. My commentary said that the author is careful not to put human traits to God’s face but it does say we were created in his image. There is a lot of praise in Heaven, never ceasing.
In the gospel, Jesus tells the parable about the nobleman who entrusts his servants with gold coins. All but one return more on the investment. One servant gives back the one coin and the nobleman takes it and give it to the one who had ten. Now, in my commentary, they said that Jesus told the parable to teach about our individual talents and that we are to nourish them and use them, not hoard them. If you do not know your God given talents, pray and ask what they are.
