Today’s first reading is from Revelation. The angel tells the author to eat the scroll. It will taste like honey, but make your stomach sour. How we often choose things that feel good at the moment only to realize the pain or suffering afterward. May we always choose what God has planned for us! Amen!
In the gospel, Jesus is in the temple area. He is disgusted by the people selling things within temple. You are supposed to be in a holy place connecting with God. You are to be praising God. Luke said that the elders want to seize Jesus but they notice that the people hang on every word. They are scared of the mob mentality.
Come Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of the faithful!
