In today’s first reading, water flowed from the temple and cleansed all in its path. It was a sign of renewal and growth.
The second reading talks about our bodies as the temple and the spirit of God lives within us. Don’t destroy the holy temple of God, your body. My commentary said that you can destroy that temple by what you consume. Through sight, hearing, and eating. Are the things you consume preparing you for life in heaven?
In the gospel, Jesus overturns the merchant tables in the temple. He doesn’t want to see the desecration of the temple by the money grabbers. He said the temple should be holy! Amen! Jesus also said the temple would be destroyed and rebuilt in three days. He was talking about His body and the resurrection. Our bodies are the new temples.
Holy Spirit fill us with your Holy Will.
