December 1: Christmas bowl

Today’s item is a crocheted cup or bowl with a Christmas tree on the side. Design by Craftingintx. Using Bernat holiday sparkle, Premier just yarn, and a 4 mm hook, this was inspired by a photo on Pinterest. I would loop the yarn through the cardboard cylinder and work a slip stitch until enough strands of yarn covered the surface. Then I crocheted a circle for the bottom and sewed it to the slip stitches around the rim. It was kind of difficult to embroider the tree on the side. In hindsight, I would have crocheted the tree and then attached it on top of the strands of yarn. I will have more of these cylinders in the future.

Today’s toy is a crocheted bear with a pumpkin body. Design by Little world of whimsy. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, this was a quick make. February 14: love pugs

For Valentine’s Day, I crocheted love pugs in black and cream colors for Bill, my husband. One looks like Gracie and one looks like Reacher. I used Big twist Plush in black, coconut, and chili pepper. I used pipe cleaners for the antennae. August 5: lamb

Today’s toy is a crocheted lamb. Design by Lua Martinez. Using Bernat blanket, bernat velvet, and a 4 mm hook, this was fun to make. Making the body first and then surface crocheting loops in a spiral. This design is supposed to be a lot smaller, but I used super bulky weight.
