December 11, 2024 Wednesday of the Second Week of Advent

Today’s first reading is very hopeful. Trust in God. He is powerful and can heal you from all your ills. “They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings;
They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.”
In the gospel, Jesus tells us the same, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.” During this crazy season in preparation of Christmas with our families and friends, this is a comforting reading. I pray we all keep Jesus in our minds and hearts during Advent.
