December 2, 2024 Monday of the First Week of Advent

We start the Advent season! Today’s first reading is from Isaiah. They go up the mountain to worship the Lord. He will judge His people and we will walk with Him. This is speaking of the coming of Jesus. We must prepare a place for Him, worthy of Him.
In the gospel, Jesus was going to go to a Centurion’s home to heal his servant. The centurion said, “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, only say the word and it should be done.” We say this at Mass before receiving the Eucharist. In the past, we would say “I am not worthy to receive you” Let us prepare during the Advent season to have Him enter our homes/hearts. Amen!
Holy Spirit, guide me through this Advent season.
