December 22, 2024 Fourth Sunday of Advent

In the first reading, Micah said that a prince of peace is coming. Jesus is the Prince of Peace! Micah’s people were divided in faith and needed peace throughout the lands. Jesus was the one to bring that peace.
Paul said in the second reading to the Hebrews that sacrifices from Jewish law wer gone. There was a bigger better sacrifice. One that satisfies all other sacrifices for sin. That sacrifice was Jesus, dying on the cross for our sins. Amen! Thank you Jesus!
The gospel is the same as yesterday. Mary visits Elizabeth and the infant leapt in Elizabeth’s womb. John the Baptist realized Jesus within the womb. He would start his ministry preparing for Jesus before Jesus started His ministry. Christmas is soon! Amen!
