May 10, 2024 Friday of the Sixth Week of Easter
Today’s first reading is of Paul preaching in Corinth. God said to stay there that he would be protected. He was persecuted by the Jews during that time but stayed a year and a half. We do have two letters to the Corinthians in the Bible.
In the gospel , Jesus said “So you also are now in anguish.
But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy away from you.” I see this in two ways. The disciples will mourn His death and he will rise from the dead and ascend into heaven. The second being that second coming where we are chosen to be with Him in heaven. That’s pure joy! Amen!
It is still the Easter season! Amen! Alleluia! Jesus is risen!
