May 21, 2024 Tuesday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time
Today’s first reading is from James and says that if you love the things of the world, then you are an enemy of God. He said “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you”
In the gospel, the apostles were arguing who is the greatest of their group, but Jesus said, “If anyone wishes to be first,
he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”
Taking a child, he placed it in their midst,
and putting his arms around it, he said to them,
“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me;
and whoever receives me,
receives not me but the One who sent me.”
Amen! Alleluia!
