Today’s first reading is from 2Peter and Peter talks about grace and faith. Persevere and have self control. He teaches about the Christian life.
The gospel reading is the parable of the tenants. Jesus tells the story of the landowner that puts tenants in charge while he is away and the tenants kill everyone sent back to gather the proceeds, including the owner’s son/heir. My commentary said it is a parallel to killing Jesus, God’s only son. At least at the end of the story, the men that wanted to arrest Jesus left because they feared the crowd and thought Jesus was referring to them in the parable.
Come Holy Spirit!
