June 12, 2024 Wednesday of the Tenth Week in Ordinary Time

Today’s first reading shows us the power of God. Elijah asks followers of Baal to get their god to send fire on the sacrificed bull. Of course no fire comes when calling on Baal, but God delivered a great fire to show the people so that they would believe.

In the gospel , Jesus continued his sermon saying those who lead others away from the commandments will be called least in heaven and those who teach His commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. I hope I am one of the latter.
