Today’s toy is Barry the bass, a crocheted fish. This design is by Theresa’s crochet shop. Using Bernat blanket and a 4.5 mm hook, this fish was fun to make. The construction with the mouth inside the fish was a great design. There were many pieces that I think could be done with surface crochet. I do enjoy making sea animals, excluding jellyfish and octopus.

Today’s toy is a pot of crocheted succulents. Design by Lauren Espy. Using many different greens I had on hand and a 3 mm hook, this was a tedious one. I liked making the prickly parts of the large cactus. I thought about adding a flower as well. Not my favorite.
