In the first reading, Jeremiah, led by God, tells the people that they are living by hypocrisy again. Sinning and then going to temple to be near the Lord.
In the gospel, Jesus told the parable of the wheat and the weeds. An enemy sowed weeds into a farmer’s wheat crop. When the servants asked to pull the weeds, the farmer said to let the weeds grow alongside the wheat. At harvest separate the weeds and burn them. If you look at the parable spiritually, are you the wheat or the weed?
