August 25, 2024 Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time

In the first reading, Joshua says for him, he must serve the Lord and then the people confirm that they will serve the Lord! For He is our God. Amen!
In the second reading, Paul said that wives should be subordinate to their husbands and that husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies and as Christ loves the church. That’s a tall order for both!
In the gospel, many left Jesus when He told the people he will give His body and blood for us to eat. He then turned to the twelve and asked “will you also leave Me?” Peter said “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe
and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” Amen!
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful!
