In today’s first reading, Paul talked about community, especially Christians gathering for a meal. That all should eat, not some go hungry and some get drunk. Take care of others.

In the gospel, Jesus meets the Centurion and his slave is ill. Jesus was following him to heal the slave and the Centurion said to Jesus, I am not worthy for You to enter under my roof. Only say the word and my slave should be healed. We as Catholics now say those words before receiving communion. I heard during a sermon once that we are little tabernacles after receiving communion and shoul go out and proclaim the good news and what Jesus has done for us. Amen!
