Today’s first reading is Solomon’s prayer for wisdom and guidance from the Lord. Don’t we all need wisdom and guidance from the triune God. I pray, Holy Spirit guide me!

The second reading is telling us that God is always watching, the good and the bad.

In the gospel, a man is full of excitement to learn the way to have eternal life. He does everything right, but Jesus then tells him to give away his riches and follow Him. Then the man goes away sad since he has many possessions. Then Jesus said that the rich will have the most difficult time entering heaven, like a camel passing through the eye of a needle. Let us all walk humbly in Christ! Amen!
