October 14, 2024 Monday of the Twenty-eighth Week in Ordinary Time

Today’s first reading is Paul explaining our origin from the “free” woman of Abraham. There were two sons, one born from a slave and one born from a “free” woman, Sarah. This is our origin. Also coming from a promise from God to Abraham.
In the gospel, Jesus knows that the followers just want a sign so that they can believe. Jesus tells them that they are like Nineveh and Jonah showing the sign to them, they atoned for their sins and the town was saved. Let us all contemplate on our lives and whether we are following Jesus or not. Amen!
