October 16, 2024 Wednesday of the Twenty-eighth Week in Ordinary Time

In the first reading, Paul points out that we know the evils that we do, and he lists many of them. Than he said we must live by the Spirit. The fruits of the Spirit are all good things: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Let us follow the Spirit!
In the gospel, Jesus is still speaking of our willingness to follow the smallest of rules/laws and not seeing the bigger picture of love of neighbor. Let’s focus on love of self and neighbor, and especially God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! Amen!
